This set from the Czech maker CMK is a detail add-on, not an aircraft kit. It holds resin parts that faithfully capture the armament of a 1:32 model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero fighter: the gun bays, the cannons and the machine guns with ammunition, the magazines and the ammunition chutes, including the bay covers. It lets you show the wing armament open. The set is intended for the Hasegawa kit.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the main carrier-based fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War. The A6M5c belonged to the more heavily armed late variants with reinforced firepower in the wing.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The insides of the bays and the gun barrels come out well in metallic shades, with a dark wash and light dry brushing. Wear respiratory protection while sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
