This is a resin (3D-printed) set for experienced modelers, not a stand-alone model. The set brings the complete main rotor of the AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter with dust and debris deflectors (sand shields) in 1:32 scale and is intended to upgrade the plastic kit from ICM. The rotor blades are printed with a realistic droop (the static droop) that blades have at rest.
The set replaces the plastic rotor from the base kit with a faithful 3D-printed replacement carrying the fine structure of the blades, the rotor head and the protective deflectors, which shielded the helicopter's engine intake from ingesting dust and sand. In the large 1:32 scale these details markedly raise the realism of a finished model.
Carefully separate the parts from the print supports, wash off any print resin residue and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding. Handle the thin blades with care; check the seating of the rotor head on your particular kit before gluing.
This is an accessory set for a plastic kit, not a stand-alone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
