The B-13L is a Soviet rocket pod for unguided S-13 rockets of 122 mm caliber. Rockets of this class came about to destroy resistant targets, that is runways or shelters, where weaker munitions were not enough. The pod therefore has markedly larger tubes than older types for rockets of smaller caliber, and on a model it shows at first glance, above all in a large scale.
In the package are two pods in 1:32 scale. The name gives the range of carriers: the Su-17/22, Su-24, Su-25, MiG-23 and MiG-29 aircraft and the Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters. The external stores enclosed with kits tend to be simplified in shape, and in a large scale that easily catches the eye on a finished model, which is exactly why a separate set is worth it. Whether a rack or an adapter belongs with the parts is stated by the manufacturer.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the rest down, so that no step is left on the rounded body of the pod. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The mouths of the tubes look good when you darken them from the inside; the pod then does not seem solid. It is practical to spray the pods separately and to hang them on the model only when finished. The recommended glue and the order of the steps are to be found in the manufacturer's instructions.
