An aftermarket accessory from Reskit for models of the second-generation vertical takeoff Harrier attack aircraft – the British GR.7 and GR.9 versions and the American AV-8B – in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the plastic landing gear wheels with accurate resin parts. It is not an aircraft model but a detail improvement to the landing gear.
The second-generation Harrier uses an unusual bicycle landing gear with the main wheels on the fuselage centerline and outrigger wheels at the wingtips, adapted to vertical and short takeoffs. Resin wheels have a sharper tread, faithfully drawn hubs and usually a suggested sag under the weight of the machine.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and level the surface; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer, paint the tire and the hub separately and bring the tread out with a wash.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. It calls for the matching kit. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package.
