Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Almoravid heavy cavalry in 1:72 scale. It belongs to the line devoted to the eleventh-century Iberian Peninsula, from which all sides of the conflicts of the time can be put together. Cavalry sets tend to hold fewer pieces than infantry ones, because every figure consists of a rider and a horse. The material is soft plastic, on which ordinary cement for polystyrene will not hold and neither will paint without preparation.
The Almoravids were a Berber movement from North Africa that took control of Morocco and then crossed into Spain at the invitation of the Andalusian states. Their arrival changed the balance of power on the peninsula: at Sagrajas in 1086 they defeated the Castilian army and halted the Christian advance to the south. Their cavalry was disciplined and fought differently from the local Andalusian contingents, with which it often came into conflict.
Wash the figures first in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the rider separately and seat him on the horse only at the end. Paint the shields and the cloth parts on their own; they will give the unit its color.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
