A resin, 3D printed detail accessory from the Ukrainian maker Reskit. It is not a model but a set of replacement exhaust stacks for models of the German Messerschmitt Bf-109E fighter in the E1, E3, E4 and E7 versions. They replace the simplified plastic exhausts with sharp parts with hollow mouths.
The Bf-109E (Emil) was the main version of the German fighter at the start of the Second World War. The rows of exhausts along the sides of the engine are a striking detail that becomes markedly more accurate once replaced and comes out better under exhaust staining.
Wash the parts to remove mold release, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the exhausts in shades of rust and metal and add a dark patina of exhaust staining. Sand with respiratory protection.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
