Four resin BL755 cluster bombs in 1:32 scale as external stores for models of combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BL755 is a British cluster bomb. Instead of one large charge it carries inside its casing a quantity of small submunitions, which scatter once the body opens and cover an area rather than a single point. It was carried by British ground-attack and fighter-bomber aircraft and by the machines of foreign users as well, usually several at a time on underwing pylons. On a model you will recognize them by the elongated body with its pronounced division of the casing.
Four BL755 bombs in 1:32 scale in resin. It is a replacement or a supplement for the external stores of kits of combat aircraft, where the parts from the box tend to be simplified in shape. The breakdown of parts, the way they go together and the recommended placing are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not of polystyrene, so glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; solvent cement has no effect on them. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat; sand wet rather than dry and with your airways protected. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the base coat will not hold. Before you glue a bomb on for good, try it in the mounting dry and adjust the mating surface with a file if needed. Always hang the bombs symmetrically and in one plane, otherwise the load will look crooked on the finished model.
For builders of combat aircraft in the large scale who want the stores worked out as well as the aircraft itself. The model, pylons, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
