About product

Dassault Mirage IIIC — the Quinta Studio 3D interior (1:32, for the Italeri kit)

This is not an aircraft model but an accessory (an aftermarket set) for one specific kit. It is a 3D-printed pre-painted cockpit interior from Quinta Studio in 1:32 scale. The parts are printed on backing decal paper, so they are applied like a decal, but they have real three-dimensional 3D relief — the result is a photorealistic instrument panel, side consoles and cockpit detail with depth and with no need for painting. The set is intended for the plastic Mirage IIIC kit from Italeri; it will not fit another kit and the model itself is not included — you have to own the kit.

The real subject

The Dassault Mirage IIIC was an early French single-seat delta-wing fighter — the first production fighter version of the famous Mirage III family. The tailless aircraft with its triangular delta wing and Atar turbojet reached supersonic speeds and entered service at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. The C version was a pure interceptor; the later Mirage IIIE was a larger multirole and strike variant, so do not mix this cockpit up with it. The Mirage IIIC was operated by the French Air Force and by other users.

How it is applied

The parts are released from their backing in water like a classic decal and moved onto the cockpit parts of the kit. Work with plenty of water, position the parts while they can still be moved and fix them only once they are seated exactly; do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as it attacks the printed resin. Once dry, the surface can be unified with a coat of varnish. No painting and no airbrush are needed — the color is printed on.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Mirage IIIC in 1:32 from Italeri who want a first-class cockpit without painting
  • Anyone after a quick rise in cockpit detail over the parts from the box
  • Collectors of French Cold War fighter aircraft

This is an accessory (a 3D decal interior), not a model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. The set is intended exclusively for the Mirage IIIC kit from Italeri.
