DH.100 Vampire F.3, a 3D-printed colored interior on decal paper in 1:32 from Quinta Studio adds three-dimensional colored detail to the cockpit of the British jet fighter without any need for painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Quinta Studio brings a complete colored cockpit interior in the form of 3D-printed elements laid on decal paper. These are not plain flat decals, nor resin parts, but a hybrid solution that combines printed 3D relief with the way a water-slide decal is applied. The set is made for 1:32 scale and offers the instrument panel, side consoles, seat harness and further detail already colored from the factory.
The de Havilland Vampire F.3 was one of the first British jet fighters. Its characteristic twin-boom layout and single jet engine made it an important type in the postwar Royal Air Force. The F.3 version brought increased range and changes to the tail surfaces.
The elements are released from the paper after a dip in water, just like decals, and transferred onto the cockpit parts. Work with plenty of water, fine tweezers and a gloss-painted surface under the element; do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin. Once dry, the whole assembly can be lightly oversprayed with a matte clear coat to even out the surface.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right. The basic aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
