This set from the British company Airscale is a photo-etched accessory intended for a marked detailing of the cockpit of the large 1:32 model of the Douglas A-20G Havoc bomber. It is not an airplane model but an upgrade set that replaces and completes the interior parts of the base kit. The photo-etched parts are made of nickel silver, which has properties similar to brass but looks more realistic when enlarged and holds the finish better.
The HK Models kit serves as the basis; it is bought separately.
The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engined attack aircraft and light bomber of the Second World War period. The A-20G version was distinguished by a solid nose without glazing, fitted with machine guns and cannons for attacks on targets on land and at sea. The machines served with the USAAF and with Allied air forces on a number of fronts.
Separate the fine parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, bend them with a photo-etch bender and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease them before painting. An airbrush and patient work with tweezers are recommended.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue, paints and further accessories are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
