Standing airmen of the two-seat F-105, first pose, 1:32 scale are collector's figures that give a finished model a human scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
These male figures from the Reskit brand represent the airmen of the two-seat version of the F-105 standing calmly beside the machine. The figure of two pieces is carried by the name of the item. The figures give a finished model a human scale and enliven an otherwise static display case.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was a single-engine supersonic fighter-bomber of the late 1950s, nicknamed the Thud among airmen. It was among the largest single-seat combat machines of its day and carried part of its load in an internal bay. The two-seat F and G versions had a cockpit laid out in tandem, so with a model it makes sense to have two figures at hand.
Both figures stand in a flight suit with a harness and a helmet, that is in the usual dress before boarding or after returning. The bearing is relaxed rather than dramatic, which suits a model on a stand as well as one on a diorama board. The designation type 1 sets this pose apart from the second offered variant of the same pair, which can be bought separately.
The faces and hands can be managed with oil paint blended into a layer of the base. The seams of the flight suit are drawn out nicely by a dark wash and by fine light applied with a dry brush.
