A set of three-dimensional Kelik decals completes the cockpit of a large model of the F-117A attack aircraft. Instead of a flat print you get thin elements with the raised relief of dials, switches and seat belts, which seat directly onto the parts of the Trumpeter kit. The Type 2 designation in the name distinguishes the second version of the interior.
The F-117A Nighthawk came out of a classified Lockheed program and from the early 1980s served as the first combat machine designed around a low radar signature. The fuselage, assembled from flat facets, scattered the signal to the sides, two engines without afterburners provided the power and internal bays concealed the armament. It was deployed over Panama, in the Persian Gulf and over the Balkans, and it left service in 2008. The cockpit fittings matched their era: analog instruments supplemented by the first screen displays.
Paint the base first and let it dry completely, because the relief is seated dry and a second attempt tends to be worse. Pick the parts up with tweezers, lay them from one edge and only then press the whole surface down. On the rounded sides of the tub, gentle pressure with a cotton swab helps.
