This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter brings the American F-14D Super Tomcat carrier-based fighter to the large 1:32 scale. It is a large model with rich detail, photo-etched parts and rubber tires; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted and offers decals for several machines.
The Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat was the ultimate version of the two-seat carrier-based fighter with a variable-sweep wing. It received new engines, modern avionics and a new radar and served with the US Navy until its retirement in the middle of the first decade of this century. Its twin fins and long range are characteristic.
Build and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. Assemble the variable-sweep wing mechanism carefully so that the wing holds its position. Apply primer before painting, spray the surfaces with an airbrush, and a gloss coat under the decals will give clean markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
