This is a color accessory for a cockpit, not a model of an aircraft. The Hungarian manufacturer Red Fox Studio presses the instrument panels as a thin layered film with a raised 3D relief, colored in advance down to the last dial, warning light and piece of lettering. The panel even imitates the reflection of the glass covers of the dials. The set is intended for the F-15E Strike Eagle kit from Tamiya in 1:32 scale and is fitted directly onto the cockpit tub in place of the flat plastic parts.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is an American two-seat multirole fighter bomber derived from the heavy F-15 fighter. It manages air combat as well as precision strikes on ground targets in any weather, and it has a powerful radar and extensive avionics. The cockpit of the pilot and of the weapon systems officer is therefore full of displays and instruments, which this set captures faithfully.
Cut the parts out carefully, degrease them and glue them with a tiny drop of cyanoacrylate glue. The relief can be gently toned with oil as well as acrylic washes to emphasize the depth. The film will stand slight bending and light sanding to make it sit against the shape of the tub.
This is a cockpit accessory. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
