This is not an airplane model but a resin (3D printed) accessory. The package contains a replacement canopy frame for the F-35A Lightning II fighter in the open position. The set makes it possible to display a finished model with the canopy raised on the matching kit in 1:32 scale; the manufacturer of the accessory is Reskit.
A frame in the open position reveals a detailed cockpit and gives the model dynamism. It faithfully follows the sharp, angular lines of the F-35A canopy and, thanks to 3D printing, offers clean edges and an exact join to the clear parts. Watch out for the distinction: a version with the canopy frame closed also exists, for models with a closed cockpit.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the print supports and do any sanding with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the frame before fitting it and mask the clear parts to keep them transparent.
The accessory is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
