MikroMir 1:32 Fokker E.V/D.VIII is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German parasol fighter of the end of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Plastic kit of the German parasol monoplane Fokker E.V/D.VIII in the large 1:32 scale from MikroMir. The short-run kit contains plastic sprues, photo-etched parts, clear film for the transparent features and decals. The large scale brings out the details of the covering and the engine and makes the model an impressive piece for the display case.
The Fokker E.V, later redesignated D.VIII, was a German single-seat parasol fighter designed by Reinhold Platz. It entered service in the last months of the First World War and, thanks to its clean cantilever wing structure, offered a good view and decent flying qualities. It was the last Fokker type deployed during the war.
A short-run build counts on experience: clean up the parts and keep trying them dry. Glue the photo-etched pieces with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring out the fabric surfaces with gentle shading, and with period schemes pay attention to the texture of the fabric and of the varnished plywood surfaces; the large scale rewards careful work with the shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
