The Nieuport 16 (Andre Chainat) 1:32 from Amodel — an injection-molded plastic kit of a French First World War fighter biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Nieuport 16 fighter biplane in 1:32 scale from the firm Amodel. The decals are prepared for the machine of the French flying ace Andre Chainat. The package is made up of injection-molded plastic sprues and a decal sheet. It is a short-run model, which above all more experienced modelers will appreciate.
The Nieuport 16 was a French fighter of the First World War, created by modifying the successful Nieuport 11 type with a more powerful rotary engine. It was a light and agile biplane with a characteristically narrow lower wing. It served with French airmen and with other Allied air services. Andre Chainat was among the French aces and achieved part of his victories precisely on Nieuport machines.
Separate the short-run parts carefully with a sharp knife and clean up the joints; glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. On a biplane, expect rigging: imitate the bracing wires between the wings and the struts with a fine thread or with stretched sprue, only once the flying surfaces have been glued. Apply a primer and paint the fabric surfaces with an airbrush in thin coats. Take care to align both wings and the struts properly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
