A set of photo-etched metal parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a more faithful rendering of the air brakes of the British Gloster Meteor jet fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory made for the large Meteor F.8/FR.9 kit by Revell. The thin metal parts take the place of the thicker plastic brake panels and their mechanism and bring a scale-correct thickness and fine structure.
The air brakes on the wings are often built deployed on a model, to show the mechanism inside. Photo-etched metal allows realistically thin panels and well-drawn internal structures that plastic cannot reach at this thickness. The detail comes into its own once painted and shaded.
For experienced modelers building the Meteor F.8/FR.9 in 1:32 scale who want the maximum of detail.
This is a separate detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
