Reskit 1:32 with the platform raised – the MHU-83 D/E munitions lift truck captures the vehicle at the moment of hanging a load. The folded-down version is a separate item.
Responsibility details are not available.
This model from Reskit represents American airfield equipment for hanging bombs and rockets, at the moment when the lifting section is carried up. The upper position is expressly given in the name, because the same real subject is also offered in the folded-down state. The choice therefore falls on which moment you want to capture in a scene.
From the point of view of a scene, a raised platform is more rewarding than a folded-down one. The vehicle suddenly looks as though it were working: it is carrying a load toward the pylon, and the ground crew who will fine-tune the position gather around it as a matter of course. It is exactly this scene that is the most frequent in photographs from airfields and decks, and it tells a viewer at once what is going on out on the ramp. Under a large model of an aircraft the raised section is also clearly visible and draws attention to the stores.
The parts are worth degreasing before painting and letting dry out thoroughly. Adapt the kind of joint to the nature of the material. It pays to plan the order of assembly so that the less accessible places are painted before the surrounding sections cover them. Look for the colors and the degree of dirt in period photographs, because they differed by place and by time.
The model is supplied unassembled and without paints. Glue, paints and a base are not enclosed, unless stated otherwise.
