A resin set of replacement wheels for models of the MiG-21 fighter in its early version, 1:32 scale, from Plusmodel. It is not an airplane kit but a detail set that replaces the wheels from the box with more faithful resin parts with sharper relief on the tread and the hub.
Cast wheels have finer detail than injection-molded plastic parts and often faithfully capture the flattening of the tire where it touches the ground, so the aircraft looks as if it really stood on the ground. They are intended for models of the early MiG-21.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. A matte black-gray with pigments and a dusty cast will bring the tire to life, and the hubs take the shade of the real subject; masking helps with the transition between hub and tire.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is not a complete airplane model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
