A figure of a present-day fighter pilot of the NATO countries in 1:32 scale, intended for models of aircraft and for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of a present-day fighter pilot in the gear used in the air forces of the NATO countries, in the large 1:32 scale. It complements a finished model of an aircraft or a scene on a stand.
However well an aircraft is built, in a display case it looks like a body without a scale until a human being stands beside it. A figure shows the viewer at once how large the machine really is, and gives the scene a story: the pilot walks around the aircraft before takeoff, leans against the ladder, reports in after landing. In 1:24 and 1:32 scale this holds doubly true, because here the expression and the detail of the gear show as well.
The exact pose, the number of parts and the extent of the gear are stated by the maker in the instructions and in the illustration for the product.
Wash and degrease the surface before painting, and sand any small irregularities down with a fine abrasive. Lay the paint on in thin coats so that the relief of the fabric and the straps does not disappear. The face benefits from a lighter base and a darker tone in the shadows, the visor of the helmet looks good in gloss, while the flight suit looks good matte. You will make the work easier for yourself if you paint the figure before you place it beside the model.
For the modeler who is building a modern fighter in a large scale and wants to put it into context.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
