Eight OFAB-100-120 bombs in 1:32 scale by Reskit. An add-on set of external stores for Soviet and Russian combat aircraft, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on set, not an aircraft model. The box holds eight high-explosive fragmentation bombs of the OFAB-100-120 type, the Soviet 100 kg class bomb that is among the most widespread external stores of combat aircraft of eastern design. In kits the bombs tend to be simplified: they have coarse fins, a mold parting seam and a faint suspension lug. A separate set removes these compromises and offers enough pieces for a model to be fitted with a realistic load on both wing halves.
The OFAB-100-120 is a classic unguided aerial bomb with a high-explosive filling and a body that fragments on detonation. It was carried by aircraft of the Sukhoi and MiG families and served as the basic weapon against ground targets. Its shape changed very little over its service life, so it can be used across a wide period.
The set is for modelers building a Soviet or Russian combat aircraft in a large scale who want a load that matches reality. The work is not difficult, it only calls for patience when removing the supports.
It is not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
