A set of six figures of the deck crew of an aircraft carrier made by 3D printing technology from resin. It is a resin set for experienced modelers, not an aircraft model. The figures capture a busy moment on the flight deck, the preparation and dispatch of machines, and serve to enliven aircraft and ship dioramas in 1:32 scale.
Work on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier is among the most demanding and most dangerous tasks at sea. The deck crew, distinguished by the colors of their jerseys, handle marshaling, fueling, arming and maintaining the aircraft in a precisely rehearsed rhythm. It is exactly this atmosphere of concentrated haste that the figures convey.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove residues of uncured resin. Cut the print supports away with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw, never break them off: a 3D print is brittle. Sand the marks wet and always with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; set the jerseys and helmets of the individual deck crew trades apart by color.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted in resin. Glue, paints and an aircraft model are not included in the package.
