A demanding multimedia kit in resin in 1:32 scale depicting the amphibious flying boat Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina. It is a limited, exceptionally detailed set for advanced collectors that combines a large number of resin parts with photo-etch, brass barrels and fabric belts. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The PBY Catalina was an American long-range naval aircraft of the Second World War used for patrol, search and rescue and anti-submarine work. The PBY-5A version was amphibious, fitted with retractable landing gear for operation from land as well as from water.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with respiratory protection. Given the size and weight of the model, take care over firm joints and stable support of the structure; paint with an airbrush over a good primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
