About product

Airscale Royal Air Force WWII instrument dials 1:32

This set of colored decals of instrument dials (not an aircraft model) is intended for the cockpits of British Second World War aircraft in the large 1:32 scale. Airscale is a British brand focused on cockpit accessories. The motifs match the standard Royal Air Force instrument fit and are universal for a range of types, for example the Supermarine Spitfire or the Hawker Hurricane.

What the set contains

The sheet brings faithfully printed instrument dials for flight, navigation and engine monitoring, that is altimeters, airspeed indicators, artificial horizons, turn indicators, tachometers and others. The large 1:32 scale allows legibility of the individual scales and detailed work.

Use and tips

Paint the instrument panel with a matte dark color, cut the dials out closely and seat them on the positions of the instruments. Fix them with a softener and, once dry, add a drop of gloss varnish for the impression of glass. The ideal companion is the photo-etched instrument bezels from the same brand.

Who it is for

  • Modelers of British Second World War aircraft in 1:32 scale
  • Builds of the Spitfire, Hurricane and other Royal Air Force types
  • A faithful rendering of a cockpit without hand painting the scales
  • Combination with photo-etched bezels and cockpit accessories

The accessory is supplied as a sheet of decals; it is not an aircraft model. Paints, varnish and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
