3DF Revi 16 gunsight for the Fw 190D 1:32

This is a fine 3D-printed resin part representing the German Revi 16 reflector (collimator) gunsight in 1:32 scale. The accessory raises the fidelity of the cockpit of Focke-Wulf Fw 190D models considerably and replaces the simplified part from the box. The part is prepared for the Fw 190D kit from Hasegawa.

The real subject

Gunsights of the Revi series were standard equipment on German fighters in the Second World War. A reflector gunsight projected a ring of light onto a glass plate, so the pilot could aim without having to follow mechanical sights.

Building and painting tips

• Separate the part carefully from the print supports and clean it up.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
• The clear plate of the reflector is best suggested with clear varnish or film.
• Because of the small dimensions, work with tweezers and a magnifier.

Who it is for

For advanced modelers who want to equip the cockpit of the long-nosed Fw 190D faithfully and are not content with the simplified part from the box. It is not a model in its own right but a small detail accessory.
