This product is not a kit but an aftermarket detail set from the Kelik brand. It consists of 3D printed, fully colored interior elements on thin self-adhesive decal paper. It fits out the cockpit of a model of the SBD-3 Dauntless carrier-borne dive bomber in 1:32 scale with a realistic instrument panel, side panels and cockpit details.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was an American carrier-borne dive bomber that played a key role in the Pacific war. In the SBD-3 version it made its name above all at the Battle of Midway, where its dive attacks decided the fate of the Japanese aircraft carriers. It was valued for its toughness and its accuracy.
The individual elements are cut out, lifted off the backing and stuck directly onto the cockpit parts. It is advisable to degrease the surface; the instruments come alive once gone over with a drop of gloss varnish. The large 1:32 scale brings out the detail of the set especially well.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
