1:32 Spitfire Mk.Vb - Big Ed Set (for Kotare Kits)

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb Big Ed 1:32 - photo-etched parts and masks

Big Ed is a package that brings together in one box several Eduard accessory sets that are also sold separately. It contains a collection of photo-etched parts for more detail and painting masks for accurate spraying. This is not an airplane kit but a complete set of accessories for the injection-molded Spitfire Mk.Vb model in 1:32 scale.

The target kit is the Kotare one; that is bought separately.

The real subject

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb was one of the most widespread versions of the British fighter. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 V12 engine and its armament was a combination of cannons and machine guns. It was deployed on many battlefields of the Second World War.

Use and fitting

• The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife and bonded with super glue.
• The color-printed self-adhesive photo-etched elements need no painting.
• The masks speed up and sharpen the spraying of the canopy frames and of other surfaces.

Who the collection is for

• modelers who want to add fine detail to a Spitfire Mk.Vb in 1:32 scale
• anyone who wants to fit the model out completely in one go
• more advanced builders with experience of photo-etched parts

The collection is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
