The wet decal sheet Techmod 1:32 Stripes for Lozenge from the Polish maker Techmod, colored rib tapes for completing the lozenge camouflage of 1:32 models of First World War aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a sheet of wet waterslide decals, not a kit. It holds colored tapes that were used to edge and join the fields of the so-called lozenge camouflage on German aircraft of the First World War, in 1:32 scale.
The sheet offers stripes in three color versions, matching the period rib tapes drawn over the leading and trailing edges and the seams of the fabric panels. They serve as a complement to lozenge decal sheets or printed paper, with which together they create the complete, period-faithful camouflage.
Lozenge camouflage was printed directly onto the fabric covering of German aircraft of the late First World War and replaced laborious hand camouflaging. The colored rib tapes over the edges of wings and control surfaces are its typical identifying feature.
Dip the tapes briefly in lukewarm water, slide them onto the edge of a fabric panel and straighten them carefully along the line. Apply them onto a gloss coat, help yourself with a softening solution so that the tape clings over the rounded edges, and go over them with clear varnish once they are dry.
This is a decal sheet on its own. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
