An injection-molded plastic kit of the three-axle Kodaira dump semi-trailer in 1:32 scale from Aoshima, part of the heavy haulage range. The kit comes from a new mold and offers a richly broken-up model with a working tipping mechanism for the bed. The package holds chromed parts, clear plastic for the lights, rubber tires and a decal sheet for the interior and the details.
The real subject is a Japanese-built heavy dump semi-trailer with a payload in the tens of tons, used for hauling bulk materials. Dump semi-trailers of this type are the backbone of construction and transport logistics and are a popular subject for decoratively customized rigs as well.
Assemble the chassis and the axles first and only then the bed and its tipping gear, so that it stays movable. Protect the chromed surfaces from fingerprints and glue the tires with super glue. Spray the frame and the bed with an airbrush over filler.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
