This is a turned metal barrel of the 125 mm 2A46M-2 smoothbore tank gun, in 1:35 scale from Aber. It is not a vehicle model but an accurate replacement part in place of the plastic barrel. It is intended for models of the modern Russian tanks T-72B1, T-90 and T-80 in the B, BV and BVD versions.
The 125 mm 2A46M smoothbore gun is the main armament of a whole generation of Soviet and Russian main battle tanks. It fires separate-loading high-explosive, shaped-charge and sub-caliber armor-piercing rounds and also allows guided anti-tank missiles to be launched through the barrel. The 2A46M-2 variant is one of the modernized forms.
The turned barrel has the correct wall thickness and bore and needs no drilling. Separate the part from the casting remains, degrease it and glue it with super glue. If the model treats the thermal sleeve of the barrel as a separate part, add it according to the instructions of the base kit. Prime the metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
