An accurate replacement barrel in 1:35 scale for models of the Tiger I heavy tank from Rye Field Model. The set joins a turned metal gun barrel of the 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 with a faithfully 3D-printed muzzle brake. It is not a tank kit but a detail part replacing the plastic barrel.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War armed with the feared 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 gun. The long barrel with its two-chamber muzzle brake is one of the most characteristic features of the whole vehicle.
The metal barrel is perfectly straight and does not warp the way plastic does. Clean the remains of the supports off the 3D-printed muzzle brake and fit it to the barrel. Bond both the metal and the resin with super glue; degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer.
The set holds only the replacement barrel with the muzzle brake. The vehicle model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
