A large plastic kit of the Soviet AA-60 airport fire truck from Trumpeter in 1:35 scale. The vehicle is built on the massive eight-wheeled MAZ-7310 chassis. The set is rich in parts and contains a detailed cab, the engine and the drivetrain as well as photo-etched elements.
The AA-60 (7310) model 160.01 is an airport fire truck (ARFF) intended to fight fires on civil and military aircraft and helicopters. It entered service at the end of the 1970s. Thanks to the large MAZ-7310 chassis with 8x8 drive it carried an exceptional amount of extinguishing agent; the tank held around 12000 liters of water.
On a large special vehicle, finish the chassis and the axles before painting. Given the size, it pays to paint with an airbrush and to vary the shades. The striking bodywork comes alive with fine chipping and dust on the lower parts; it is a good idea to paint the detailed cab separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
