About product

AH-64A Apache main rotor with blades and the ADSS radar, 1:35

This is a resin, 3D-printed detail set from Reskit, not a helicopter model. The set contains the main rotor of the AH-64A attack helicopter including the blades and the ADSS radar system.

The real subject

The Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) AH-64A Apache is the original production version of the American attack helicopter, with a four-blade main rotor. A faithfully rendered rotor head and blades are among the most conspicuous elements of the overall look of the model.

Fitting and painting

Separate the parts from the print supports, wash and degrease them, and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Undercoat the rotor with a base color and bring the details out with a wash and restrained weathering.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the AH-64A in 1:35
  • Anyone interested in a faithful main rotor for the original A version
  • Builders who are refining the rotor system
  • Advanced modelers used to resin

The set is an aftermarket resin accessory, not a helicopter kit. Glue, paints and the base Trumpeter model are not included in the package.
