The Austin armored cars arose during the First World War on a British chassis, and you recognize them by the two machine gun turrets on the roof of the hull. The 1918 pattern closes the development line of these vehicles. After the war the machines dispersed to a number of armies and served long after the cavalry they were originally created for had vanished from the battlefields. This kit is aimed at the standard in Japanese service, as its name states.
The model in 1:35 scale is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The abbreviation in the name announces interior equipment, so the set allows for the space inside the hull as well, not just for the external shape of the vehicle. The extent of the parts, the marking options on offer and the recommended order of building are given in the manufacturer's instructions; with a set that has an interior it pays to go through them in full beforehand, because the order of gluing and painting matters more here than on a plain exterior.
Finish and paint the interior before you close the hull up; after that you cannot get inside. Leave the inner surfaces lighter than seems right, as hardly any light reaches a cramped space under display case lighting anyway. Do not overload the thin fenders and footboards with glue, and seat the wheels so that the vehicle stands straight and on all its wheels on the base. The joints of the plates on the hull are meant to stay apparent, so do not fill them needlessly. Keep the weathering low down: dust and mud belong on the wheels, the fenders and the underside, not on the roof.
