A barrel for the Geschützwagen Tiger 17cm Kanone 72 (Sf) 1:35 is a precise turned replacement barrel for models of this German self-propelled gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a kit but a precise replacement barrel from the Polish maker Aber, which specializes in turned barrels. It replaces the plastic barrel from a base kit with a faithfully executed turned part with a correct muzzle profile and bore. The result is a perfectly straight barrel with none of the parting seam that a plastic part would always have.
The Geschützwagen Tiger 17cm Kanone 72 (Sf), also known as the Grille 17, was a heavy German self-propelled gun of the Second World War built on a lengthened hull derived from the heavy tanks. It carried a powerful 17 cm gun and remained practically at the prototype stage.
Clean any lubricant off the turned part and degrease it before gluing and painting alike. Glue metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and use a base coat (primer) suitable for metal, so that the paint holds well. The muzzle of the barrel can be accented gently with a dark pigment according to the degree of wear.
This is a replacement part, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
