Aber 1:35 barrel with muzzle brake for the Krupp 12.8 cm PaK 44 is a turned metal barrel for detailing models of the German heavy anti-tank gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a turned metal barrel with a muzzle brake from the Polish maker Aber, intended to replace the plastic barrel on models of the German Krupp 12.8 cm PaK 44 anti-tank gun in 1:35 scale. The metal barrel is perfectly straight, has an accurate geometry of the bore and of the muzzle brake and stands up to handling better than plastic. The set as a rule combines turned metal parts with fine photo-etch.
The Krupp 12.8 cm PaK 44 was a German heavy anti-tank gun of 128 mm caliber from the end of the Second World War. It was among the most powerful anti-tank weapons of its day and its projectile could knock out practically any tank of the time at long range. The long barrel is decisive for the overall silhouette of the gun.
Clear the metal parts of grease, bend any photo-etched parts over a metal edge and glue the whole together with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Metal holds paint better once a primer is applied. It is a good idea to paint and weather the barrel separately before fitting it.
This is an accessory turned barrel, not a model of the weapon. The base kit and the paints are not included in the package.
