1:35 Bathroom forniture

Bathroom fittings, 1:35 scale

A set of bathroom fittings in 1:35 scale for interior dioramas. It suits scenes in dwelling houses, in shot-up buildings with an exposed frontage and in display scenes with figures.

What the set is suited to

An interior is rewarding on a diorama precisely because the viewer looks into it rather as if they had no right to. A furnished bathroom in a wrecked house also speaks for itself: a living space has become a battlefield and everyday objects have stayed where they were. Details like these separate a mere backdrop from a scene a viewer stops at for longer than a few seconds. The fittings also come into their own in civilian scenes with no military equipment.

Building and painting tips

• Set the parts out dry first and check that they fit the space together with the figures.
• Cut any excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder back.
• Wash and degrease the parts before painting, and choose the glue according to the material of the parts.
• Do not paint white ceramic in pure white, as a light gray base with lighter edges looks more convincing.
• Apply dust, fallen render and stains at the very end, muted and unevenly.

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas with urban buildings and interiors and for modelers who want to add everyday objects to a scene. The extent of the package, the number of parts and a list of them are given by the manufacturer.

Paints, pigments and glue are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
