A large plastic kit of the heavy attack helicopter in 1:35 scale from Meng. Besides the injection-molded plastic parts, the box contains pre-shaped photo-etched parts, painting masks and material for several color and marking schemes. The model offers a choice of folded or fixed main rotor blades, weighted wheels and a movable nose electro-optical sensor turret. This is a big piece, and the assembled model has a striking span and an impressive presence.
The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat attack helicopter. The AH-64D Longbow version is marked by its characteristic fire control radar mounted above the main rotor, which lets the machine find and allocate targets at long range. The type is the main antiarmor and support air platform of a number of armies around the world.
Glue the parts with thinned cement for plastic and dry-fit the joints of the cockpit and the fuselage beforehand. Use primer before painting, as it unifies the surface and brings out any shortcomings. Apply the colors with an airbrush, and the masks supplied will refine the fine lettering. Protect the cockpit glazing with masks and paint it only once the base color has dried.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
