1:35 Building corner is a plaster cast of the corner of a masonry house, a ready-made foundation for a vignette in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The plaster cast represents the corner of a masonry house and serves as a ready-made foundation for a small scene in 1:35 scale. The manufacturer gives a footprint of 7x7 cm, which matches a display-case vignette for one or two figures or for a motorcycle. The material is plaster, not resin, and that changes the whole way of working.
The corner can be used on its own as the visual end of a scene, or it can be trimmed to fit into a larger whole. Plaster is cut with a hacksaw and snapped once scored, so damage from gunfire or a collapsed lintel is easy to suggest. Fill the gaps and the transition to the groundwork with putty or plaster slurry; small cracks in the casting are an advantage rather than a flaw in a wartime scene. Loose material, gravel and crushed brick suit the foot of the wall and soften the sharp transition to the ground.
Reach for PVA glue (white glue) for the joints, or for putty, because cyanoacrylate soaks into the porous material and the joint will not hold. First consolidate and seal the surface with thinned PVA or an acrylic primer, otherwise the casting will literally drink the paint. Only then come acrylics, a dark wash into the gaps and a dry brush on the edges of the bricks and the knocked-off plaster.
