This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the Chinese Type 89 self-propelled anti-tank gun of 120 mm caliber. The box consists of sprues of gray plastic with a tracked chassis, a rotating turret at the rear of the hull and a long barrel with a muzzle brake and a fume extractor. Markings and assembly instructions are included.
The Type 89 is a self-propelled tank destroyer of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, introduced at the end of the 1980s. It shares its tracked chassis with the Type 83 self-propelled howitzer. The driver sits at the front left, the engine compartment is at the front right and the turret with the 120 mm anti-tank gun is placed at the rear. The commander has a cupola with a mount for a machine gun.
First finish the running gear and the lower hull and only then close the superstructure. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, treat the surface with a primer and paint with an airbrush. For realistic weathering, washes and pigments for dust and mud effects work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
