1:35 Crewman SS Panzerdivision - WWII is a cast figure of a tanker of a Waffen-SS armored division, intended to complete a finished model or a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
This cast figure from the Italian brand Royal Model captures a member of the crew of a Waffen-SS armored vehicle of the Second World War period. It is an accessory to a finished model or to a scene, not a kit of equipment, as the vehicle for the figure is obtained separately.
The crews of Waffen-SS tanks received a short dark blouse with a diagonal fastening, cut so that it would not catch on the inside of the fighting compartment. From the middle of the war, oversuits with a mottled camouflage pattern and caps of the most varied shapes were added, so one crew often appears in period pictures dressed in several different combinations. That inconsistency is an advantage for a modeler: from the cut and the pattern of the cloth a viewer recognizes the unit and the phase of the war without needing a caption for it.
Separate the gates with a fine-toothed saw, not with nippers, as resin cracks at thin sections. Then free the surface of the remains of release agent from the mold, otherwise the paint will not hold. Apply the base in a thin coat, so that the folds of the cloth stay legible. Build the dark uniform from gray-blue tones, because pure black at a small scale swallows all the detail; on the face, by contrast, work from darker shades toward light ones.
