The Fl 282 Kolibri was a German helicopter of the Second World War with two intermeshing rotors, a layout known as a synchropter. It was among the first helicopters to reach practical military service, above all in the reconnaissance and liaison roles. The open fuselage structure leaves both the engine and the rotor gear on show.
Take your time over the rotor head and the fine tubular truss structure, and use a sharp blade. Since a good many parts are left exposed, it pays to paint the engine and the mechanics carefully before final assembly. The lightweight structure suits restrained weathering without heavy grime.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
