Quinta Studio 3D decal of the Ka-52 HUD (1:48)

A color 3D decal for rendering the head-up display (HUD) in the cockpit of the Ka-52 attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. It is not photo-etch and it is not resin: it is a printed raised element on a flexible film, applied as a wet decal, which replaces the simplified plastic part with a more faithful, color rendering. The part is prepared for the Ka-52 kit from Zvezda.

What it is for

It gives the frame and the face of the sighting display in front of the pilot's seat realistic color and depth. It is a small but prominent detail that brings the interior of a model to life.

How it is applied

• You cut the part out, dip it in water and slide it onto its place.
• Apply it to a previously painted, smooth surface, where a decal holds best.
• Do not use decal softeners or decal fixers, as they could damage the printed layer.
