The Renault FT was a revolutionary French light tank of the end of the First World War - the first production tank with a rotating turret and the classic layout (driver at the front, fighting compartment in the middle, engine at the rear) which became the pattern for tanks for decades. The T.S.F version (Telegraphie Sans Fil, that is, wireless telegraphy) had no turret with a weapon but a fixed angular superstructure with a radio set. It served as a mobile command and signals post which coordinated infantry, artillery and tank units at company or battalion level.
Bond the resin and photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate); wash the resin before bonding and cut the casting blocks off. Assemble and paint the running gear and the radio superstructure with its equipment before the final assembly. Apply a primer and then period French camouflage with an airbrush. Bring the riveted hull out with a dark wash into the recesses and a light dry brush on the edges, and dust the underside with pigments.
