An injection-molded plastic kit of the unusual German project aircraft Focke-Wulf Triebflügel in 1:35 scale from Miniart. The box contains photo-etched parts, decal options and a boarding ladder for an effective display. The model is supplied unglued and unpainted.
The Triebflügel was a German concept for a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fighter dating from 1944, designed as a local defense interceptor. Its characteristic rotating wings with ramjets at the tips were to provide vertical lift-off. The machine never got further than aerodynamic tests in a wind tunnel and no prototype was ever completed.
The unconventional shape will appeal to builders who like working with striking models. Liquid cement for plastic is recommended, and the fine photo-etched parts should be glued with cyanoacrylate. An airbrush and a filler primer suit the spraying; the boarding ladder allows an interesting diorama setting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
