A detailed plastic set of wheels from MiniArt in 1:35 scale, intended for models of the Soviet GAZ-AA series light truck and related types. This is not a complete model of a vehicle: the package holds a set of wheels with tires with which you will replace or improve the wheels from your base kit. The instructions in the package give the exact number of parts.
The GAZ-AA, nicknamed the poltorka, meaning the one-and-a-half-tonner, was the most widespread Soviet light truck of the 1930s and 1940s. It came from an American Ford built under license and became the backbone of supply for the Red Army and for the civilian economy during the Second World War. Faithfully rendered wheels with a period tread raise the realism of a finished model markedly, because the tire is the detail a viewer notices first.
The parts are injection-molded from plastic and are glued with ordinary cement for plastic. Clean up the mold seams carefully around the circumference of the casing and on the tread. Paint the rubber tire a muted dark gray rather than black, add a dusty cast with pigments on the sidewalls and a lighter dry brush on the raised tread. Pick out the rims in a color to suit the particular vehicle.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The vehicle, glue, paints and further parts are not included in the package.
