This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-ton cargo truck of the 3,6-36S type in the late production form in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The kit contains photo-etched parts, clear parts for the windows and decals for several marking options, including a faithfully worked cargo bed and tarpaulin.
The three-ton cargo truck 3,6-36S was one of the most widespread German transport vehicles of the Second World War. Its simple, easily maintained design proved itself on every front carrying troops and supplies and as the basis for workshop and special bodies. Late production was marked by simplified elements, substitutes for materials in short supply and a more frugal form of the cab and the fenders, as wartime conditions demanded.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the engine and the interior of the cab before they are covered, while the parts are easy to reach. Detail the tarpaulin and the cargo bed separately and fit them only once painted. Glue the plastic with thin cement and the fine photo-etched parts with super glue; spray the kit over a primer. Bring out the wooden surfaces of the bed with glazes and washes that pull out the texture of the planks, and shade the metal parts with a dry brush. Give the chassis and the wheels a patina of dust and mud pigments for the faithful field look of a supply vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
