This brass photo-etched set serves to improve the detail of plastic models of the German Hetzer tank destroyer in the mid production version (Mittlere Produktion) in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory that replaces and refines selected plastic parts with etched components. The basic model is not included in the package.
Photo-etch brings thin elements that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic: fenders, covers, clips, tool holders, the plate of the gun mantlet and other fine details. The result is a more accurate and finer Hetzer than the parts from the box give. The target kit is the Tamiya 35285.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat, bend them with a photo-etch bending tool and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy. The fenders can be rippled for a combat look. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with primer for metal.
This is a detail set, not a model. The basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
