Equipment is what brings a figure to life. A figure on its own reads as empty, whereas pouches, ammunition pouches, a canteen or a rolled blanket in its place give away that a soldier is going somewhere and carrying something. Equipment also comes into its own where there is no figure at all: hung around a vehicle, hung on a nail in a barn or set down by a wall, it gives a scene action and scale.
It is a set of personal equipment accessories for German infantry in 1:35 scale, that is, separate small parts meant for figures and for scenes. The designation Set 2 distinguishes this set from the other sets in the same line. Check the list of parts against the manufacturer's information on the packaging.
Cut the small parts off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down; work over a surface so that nothing gets lost. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry, otherwise the paint will not hold. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts, degrease the surfaces before joining and try the position dry on the figure, so that a strap lines up and nothing hangs in mid-air. Paint the parts separately and fit them onto the figure only at the end; a dark glaze into the folds and a dry brush over the edges will help toward a worn look.
